Brand new to Christian writing, home-schooling mother of two and former Certified Nurse Assistant, Linda Hiles meets her public with opened arms as she gladly introduces her newly published book, Arise, O Sleeper for the very first time.
This opportunity arose from her desire to achieve God’s best by digging deeper into the Word of God.
Linda Gay Hiles was born August 18, 1961 in Jacksonville, Florida where she grew up under the disciplinary voice of a military father. With a family of five children and everyone having their own voice, she turned to the outside world to find hers. She became easily bored in life, always seeking to find something more and dropped out of high school just months from graduating with the class of '79. She soon became acutely aware of her regrets as she found herself constantly dreaming of receiving her diploma.
It wasn’t until she met her husband, Russell Carl Hiles, who inspired her to move forward in life and reach out and achieve that very goal. She registered in the Clovis Adult High School in Fresno, California where they were living at the time. She put forth much effort and graduated cap and gown in 1990. She even surpassed her goal by achieving a scholarship to further her education.
From her desire to share the tangible knowledge she gleaned from leaning on God’s word, Linda prays that others will quickly learn from her studies what took her many years to understand. By submitting her work, she is accepting the responsibility of passing on the “Good News.” “We have been given a mission, to push through the darkness and follow Jesus into a better tomorrow. Sharing our journey with others so that they might come to experience a better place than their yesterdays.”
Linda is fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mother who spends herself on behalf of others. Her joy comes from reading the Word of God, gardening with both herbs and flowers, and her new love of photography. She is a new grandmother of three and prays that she learns from this new role a little more every day, as she truly believes you should always remain teachable.
